Since making his highly anticipated return from a pair of devastating injuries, Klay Thompson has yet to play in a back-to-back. Before the All-Star break opened up over a week of rest for the Warriors, Steve Kerr’s squad had one last back-to-back against the Washington Wizards in San Francisco followed up by a contest against the Los Angeles Clippers in Hollywood.
After playing in Monday’s game against the Wizards, Thompson isn’t listed on Golden State’s injury report for Tuesday’s game in Los Angeles, clearing the way for his first appearance in back-to-back games since 2019. The four-time NBA champ playing in a back-to-back will be the latest milestone in his long recovery from injuring his knee and Achilles.

On Monday night, Thompson tallied 27 points on 10-of-21 shooting from the field with five assists and four boards in 36 minutes in Golden State’s 134-126 win over the Wizards.
The Warriors will need to lean on Thompson in the backcourt on Tuesday night against the Clippers. The Warriors will be missing both Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins.
Golden State will meet the Clippers on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Crypto.com Center.
