Injury Report: Warriors’ Draymond Green (thigh), Damion Lee (hip) questionable vs. Bulls

Draymond Green (thigh contusion) and Damion Lee (hip) are listed as questionable for the Warriors showdown on Friday with the Bulls.

Following a fiery start to the season, the Golden State Warriors have jumped out to a 10-1 record to open the 2021-22 campaign. However, the Warriors could be slowed down on Friday at Chase Center against the Chicago Bulls due to a pair of injuries.

During Wednesday’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Draymond Green was forced to leave the game with an apparent injury. Green’s injury was ruled a thigh contusion. He missed the remainder of the game against the Timberwolves after playing 21 minutes.

After the game, Steve Kerr called Green’s thigh bruise “nasty.” Two days later, the former Defensive Player of the Year is listed as questionable for Friday’s tilt against the Chicago Bulls.

Joining Green on the injury report is Damion Lee. The reserve guard was absent against the Timberwolves on Wednesday due to a hip injury. Lee is also listed as questionable for Friday’s contest.

To start the season, Green is averaging 7.9 points on 52.1% shooting from the field with 8.3 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. The three-time All-Star has been at the center of Golden State’s impressive defense to open the 2021-22 season.

If Green can’t suit up against Chicago on Friday, Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica could be in line for more minutes in Steve Kerr’s rotation. Andre Iguodala and Jonathan Kuminga could also play increased roles if Green is unavailable.
