Before the Golden State Warriors close a five-game road swing, the team will be without a guard off the bench against the Washington Wizards.
After suffering a foot injury against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, Damion Lee has been ruled out against the Wizards on Wednesday evening in the nation’s capital.
According to Steve Kerr, Lee was stepped on by Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, causing his nail to crack.

Damion Lee is out tonight. Joel Embiid stepped on his foot the other night. Cracked a nail. Kerr: "He's been in a lot of pain…Hopefully it can clear up in the next couple days and he can be back for Denver."

Joel Embiid stepped on Damion Lee's foot, cracking a toe nail. The Warriors plan to give Lee a night off to rest that toe in hopes that he'll be good to go Friday against Denver.

Despite his foot injury, Lee led the Warriors off the bench with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting with six rebounds, an assist and a block in 32 minutes. Lee shot a perfect 2-of-2 from long distance against the Sixers.
With Lee sidelined, Jordan Poole, Nico Mannion and Gary Payton II could see a bigger role behind Steph Curry against the Wizards. The Warriors will meet the Wizards at Capital One Arena on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. PT.
