INJURY REPORT: The latest ahead of Alabama’s Week 1 matchup against Utah State

Roll Tide Wire takes a look at Alabama’s injury report heading into week one’s matchup with the Utah State Aggies.

During fall practices, Alabama suffered a few injuries to key positions, such as wide receiver and cornerback.

Sophomore JoJo Earle suffered a fractured foot during fall practice. Along with Earle, incoming transfer Tyler Harrell has been recovering from a sprained foot, which Coach Saban mentioned during his press conference this past week.

Several other Alabama players were listed on the latest injury report that was posted by Tide Illustrated’s Tony Tsoukalas. The three that were mentioned in Tsoukalas’s tweet were Seth McLaughlin, Eli Ricks, and Khyree Jackson.

Eli Ricks has been dealing with a lingering back injury. However, Coach Saban said in his presser that he dressed out and warmed up during Alabama’s second scrimmage on July 20. On the other hand, Khyree Jackson has been nursing a groin injury, but Coach Saban did mention that he was available and participated in the second scrimmage.

Seth McLaughlin served primarily as the backup center until starting center Darrian Dalcourt suffered an injury late in the season. Although McLaughlin was expected by many to be the starting center in week one, that does not appear to be the case. Coach Saban mentioned that he did not participate in the latest scrimmage.
