Injury Report: Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic (calf) out vs. Warriors on Sunday

The Nuggets with be without their MVP candidate in the frontcourt on Sunday against the Warriors.

In a game with heavy playoff implications for the Golden State Warriors, the Denver Nuggets will be without Nikola Jokic on Sunday evening. Due to calf tightness, the two-time Most Valuable Player is set to miss his third consecutive game on Sunday against the Warriors.

Over 67 games, the four-time All-Star is averaging 24.9 points on 63.4% shooting from the floor with 11.9 rebounds and 9.9 assists in another MVP bid. 

With Jokic out, the Warriors will have to turn their attention to slowing down Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon. Veteran big Jeff Green is set to enter the starting lineup with Jokic set to miss Sunday’s contest.

Without Jokic on the floor, the Warriors will have a chance to steal a much-needed road victory over the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed. The Warriors are set to tip off in Denver at 5:30 p.m. PT on Sunday evening.
