injury Report: Draymond Green (illness) ruled out vs. Kings, Juan Toscano-Anderson to start

With Steph Curry already out, Draymond Green will be sidelined with an illness against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.

With Steph Curry already sidelined with a tailbone contusion, the Golden State Warriors will be without another key contributor against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.

After being listed as questionable on Thursday morning, Draymond Green has been officially ruled out against the Kings on Thursday due to an illness. According to Steve Kerr, Green wasn’t feeling well after waking up on Thursday and didn’t attend Golden State’s shootaround.

With Green out, Juan Toscano-Anderson will slide into the starting lineup alongside Jordan Poole, Kelly Oubre Jr., Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman.

In 29 games, Toscano-Anderson is averaging five points on 52.3% shooting from the floor with 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 19.1 minutes off the bench.

Without Curry and Green, the Warriors will need help when it comes to scoring and playmaking on offense. The Warriors will likely count on Poole and Oubre Jr. to lead Golden State’s attack against the Kings. Wiseman could also see an extended run in the Warriors’ frontcourt with Green out on Thursday.

With the Warriors opening a back-to-back run, Green won’t have much time to recover. Following a trip to Sacramento, the Warriors will return to Chase Center for the second leg of a back-to-back swing against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.

Golden State is set to meet Sacramento at 7 p.m. PT on Thursday.
