In touching video, Tad Boyle shares why he named his puppy after the late CU superfan twin Betty Hoover

Tad Boyle honored the late twin and CU superfan Betty Hoover

Twin sisters and CU superfans Betty Hoover and Peggy Coppom will forever live in the lore of Buffaloes history. The two share a plaque outside of Folsom Field and have been honored numerous times for their decades upon decades of loyalty.

Sadly, Hoover passed away in August of 2020. While her spirit lives on with her sister’s continued attendance at games, Tad Boyle honored the late superfan with the naming of his new puppy, Betty.

In a recent video released by Colorado men’s basketball, the 12-year head coach said the twins have always meant a lot to him and that it was only necessary to name his new puppy in Hoover’s honor.

You may want to grab a few tissues for this video, just FYI.
