While one can never truly see very far into the future of the turbulent and chaotic ecosystem that is the NBA, for the moment it can be said with confidence that the future of the Boston Celtics as constructed is a bright one indeed.
With perhaps the fastest-rising superstar, Jayson Tatum, alongside a co-star, Jaylen Brown, that has picked up every inch of slack needed for Tatum when called upon to do so, and fearsome defensive menaces Robert Williams III, Marcus Smart and Al Horford, they were already contenders by definition. After bringing on Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari this offseason to add veteran depth, they became the team to beat in the league.
With so many things in their favor, Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey has anointed the Celtics as the very top team in his future rankings over the next three seasons.
