Iman Shumpert available against Hornets

Iman Shumpert has been dealing with some left knee soreness, but he’s good to go for Wednesday’s game.

On Tuesday, the Brooklyn Nets ruled Iman Shumpert doubtful for Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to left knee soreness. Additionally, Nic Claxton was ruled out — along with Kyrie Irving (right shoulder impingement) and Caris LeVert (right thumb surgery) — due left hamstring soreness after he aggravated it while with the Long Island Nets on Monday.

Shumpert’s status has changed, though. He was upgraded to questionable hours before Wednesday’s game, and the team has now announced the wing will be available for Kenny Atkinson against the Hornets.

With the exception of the game which took place on November 14, the day after he signed with the Nets, Shumpert has not sat out since joining the franchise.

During his 12 games in a Brooklyn uniform, Shumpert is averaging 4.2 points per game on 33.9% shooting (22.6% from three). He’s also averaging one steal and 2.7 rebounds per game, while playing 18.8 minutes a night.
