If Duke Williams is active for Bills Wild Card game vs. Texans, who sits?

Here are several ideas to consider as the Bills’ brass makes this choice ahead of their second post-season game in three seasons.

Ty Nsekhe

This is a bit of a long shot, but it has to do more with Ty Nsekhe’s injury than anything else. If Nsekhe’s ankle is healthy enough for him to suit up, he will be in the lineup. The Bills will want him ready as a support system for rookie Cody Ford in case something goes awry with the Bills 2019 second-round pick.

If Nsekhe cannot play due to the ankle ailment, then Williams may slide into the active roster spot. The Bills could still keep Smith active to help as an additional blocker. In addition, most of their starting line was listed as active against the Jets, so the numbers game could work on in this manner.

This scenario would give the Bills more receivers than necessary. However, it would give Buffalo more options if Brian Daboll and company need to lean on the aerial game.
