Perhaps more than any other Boston Celtics great before or since, The Hick From French Lick (as Larry Bird was lovingly called as a nickname) could get in his opponent’s head with trash talk. But Larry Legend often played the long game as well, his most devastating trash talk simply being the Indiana State alumnus telling the poor soul tasked with guarding him exactly how he was going to get scored on by Bird.
