Just because the Oklahoma Sooners have started the year 10-0, doesn’t mean it’s been an easy road to get to this point. In just about every game, the Sooners have faced ups and downs.
But they’ve always found a way to win the game. Also, they seem to be getting better every single game. The most impressive thing is it could be any guy on any night that has a hot hand. It could be multiple guys.
Porter Moser spoke about seeing improvement every game.
“We have these get better tapes as a part of our process after every game,” Moser said. “I just see them soaking in what they can do better. There’s no entitlement. There’s some humility with the guys that we won, but where can we get better? They believe in that. I see the gaps of mistakes keep shrinking. Here’s what’s crazy, we’ve got a big room for improvement. I think they’d say the same thing.”
That is a scary site because there are things they can definitely improve on and get better at, but even still, they are a top-eight team in the country as is. Now, can they continue that because we all know about how tough the [autotag]Big 12[/autotag] conference is?
It’s arguably the toughest conference in college basketball, and escaping it with a .500 record might actually be considered a win. But if they make the improvements that Moser thinks they can, there is no doubt this team should be dancing come March. The next test is a top-15 matchup with the UNC Tar Heels in the Jumpman Invitational.
