The Nebraska baseball team concluded its series against the College of Charleston on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers fell behind again early but came from behind to snatch the victory.

Nebraska dropped to a 3-0 deficit before scoring five unanswered runs, including two in the ninth inning. The Huskers finished with ten hits in the game and three total RBIs.

Tyler Stone kicked off Nebraska’s comeback with a home run in the fourth inning, his only hit of the game. Will Jesske drove in the second run with an RBI single in the same inning before hitting a sacrificial RBI in the sixth.

Riley Silva drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth with an error, finishing the game with two hits. Cole Evans extended Nebraska’s lead to six with an error and concluded the game with one hit.

Will Walsh started on the mound and pitched for 3.1 innings. Walsh faced 16 batters, threw two strikeouts, and surrendered three runs off five hits. Tucker Timmerman earned the win as a pitcher, facing seven batters, throwing three strikeouts, and surrendering one hit. Kyle Perry earned the save for Nebraska in the ninth. Perry faced two batters and struck both batters out.

Nebraska moves to 7-3 on the season and will return to Lincoln for their home opener. The Huskers will host South Alabama for a three-game series starting Friday afternoon. The first pitch for game one is set for 4:05 p.m. and can be viewed on B1G+.
