Huskers get prediction for 2026 four-star quarterback target

The Huskers appear to be in good shape for a quarterback target.

Nebraska football is riding high after Saturday’s 28-10 win over the Colorado Buffaloes, and now they have a recruiting prediction to boot. Class of 2026, three-star quarterback Michael Clayton has received a prediction to commit to the Cornhuskers. On3’s Steve Wiltfong put in the prediction late Saturday night. Clayton was among the visitors at Saturday’s game.

Clayton is the 26th overall quarterback in his class and the 69th overall player from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He has zero crystal ball predictions at this time. With that being said, his offer sheet is continuing to heat up. He has 32 offers in total.

Clayton threw for 1,902 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions last season for Edgewater. He currently has 264 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the 2024 campaign.

This is undoubtedly a positive development for Nebraska football. They have wanted to get a quarterback for future classes for a while now. At the very least, it appears Clayton is trending in their direction.
