Hundreds of NBA players lost their Twitter blue checkmarks. These are the few still verified

HoopsHype presents the only NBA players left who are still verified on Twitter, including Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

As of Thursday, April 20, Twitter will no longer be verifying anyone who isn’t subscribed to Twitter Blue, i.e., a program that charges $8 per month to keep verification while offering users various perks on the website.

That includes celebrities and even NBA players, most of whom saw their Twitter verification badges removed from next to their names on the social media platform.

However, there are still some active NBA players left with the blue checkmark next to their name, be it because they paid to subscribe to Twitter Blue or for some other random reason that no one understands yet, which has become the norm on Twitter during the Elon Musk ownership era.

According to Musk himself, he’s paying for some Twitter Blue subscriptions for other people, replying to a tweet about LeBron James still being verified:

Below, we present the only NBA players left on Twitter who are still verified, which we found by going to the official NBA Twitter list, scrolling to see who still had a blue checkmark by their name, downloading a Google Chrome plug-in for Tweetdeck called Eight Dollars and seeing if the players had a money sign by their name.
