Oklahoma did it.
After beating No. 21 Texas Tech on Tuesday night, the Sooners got a pass of sorts before heading on the road to play No. 19 West Virginia on Saturday. Pass be damned, the Sooners pulled off the major upset on the road by beating the Mountaineers in Morgantown, West Virginia, 73-62.
Led by a strong second half that saw Oklahoma shoot 61.5 percent from the floor, including 50 percent from three, the Sooners more than likely secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight season and seventh in the last nine seasons.
The starting lineup for Oklahoma scored 67 of the Sooners 73 points on the day in the win.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Oklahoma’s big win.
Who is this team playing on the road right now? #Sooners are rolling.

How in the hell did this OU team lose to OSU a week ago?

I can’t imagine a coach navigating a big boy schedule, with mostly middling talent, better than Lon Kruger annually does.
Never too high, never too low. Almost always has his team right for the most important ones.
Would love to see him w/Calipari talent sometime.

Oklahoma giving the biz to West Virginia is perfect. Can’t win their way out of a paper bag against OSU, but beat a ranked team right after. March is (almost) in the air!

Oklahoma is having a very good week as a bubble team. Sooners up big in Morgantown at West Virginia right now.
Mountaineers are still safely in themselves, but trending down. Sliding to the back-end of the current cluster of teams on the 4-7 seed lines.

This is a game West Virginia has to have. It is putting up pedestrian numbers — below average really — and getting manhandled at home by Oklahoma.
Good thing February is about over.

The 2019-2020 Oklahoma Sooners basketball team is very hard to predict on a game-by-game basis #Sooners

Oklahoma is straight up stunting on #WVU right now. Sooners can't miss and are making sure the Mountaineers and the West Virginia fans can see them celebrate. OU leads 58-38 with 7:08 to play. Fans are pouring out of the Coliseum.

Two teams have beat West Virginia in Morgantown: Kansas and Oklahoma.
What is life.
