As frustrating as it was at times, the Irish gladly will take the 24-17 victory to give [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] his first win as a head coach. It doesn’t matter to them right now that the defenders should have knocked the ball down instead of deflecting it up in the air or going for an interception that only would have served to pad someone’s stats. A win is a win, and that’s an accomplishment by itself.
