How to watch Texas football’s spring game

For the first time in the Steve Sarkisian era, Texas will host their Orange-White spring game on April 24. Here’s how to tune in.

Texas football’s annual Orange-White game will take place on Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m. CDT.

It’s the first chance for fans to witness the Steve Sarkisian era of Texas football. Admission is free to attend the game and seating will be available in designated chairback seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gates are expected to open at noon and fans are urged to practice social distancing while inside and outside of DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. Parking will be available free of charge in select areas of campus.

If you’re unable to attend, the game will be televised on Longhorn Network and broadcast across the Longhorn Radio Network. Fans can tune in to 104.9 The Horn to listen in.

Many are eager to see the performance of quarterbacks Casey Thompson and Hudson Card. The two signal-callers are still in an intense position battle and neither has separated from the other. While Thompson may be more game-ready after developing behind Sam Ehlinger over the last few seasons, Card appears to fit Sarkisian’s scheme better as more of a pro-style passer.
