LSU’s women’s basketball team will be playing for a shot at history in Dallas on Friday night.
The Tigers face No. 1-seeded Virginia Tech in their sixth-ever Final Four appearance looking to advance to the national championship for the first time in program history. LSU (32-2) got here by virtue of a win over a hot Miami team to capture the Greenville Regional 2 title.
The Hokies (31-4) won the Seattle Regional 3 by beating Chattanooga, South Dakota State, Tennessee and Ohio State. The winner of the contest between the two will advance to play the winner of South Carolina and Iowa in the other semifinal.
