How to watch as No. 1 LSU baseball hosts No. 11 Kentucky this weekend at The Box

The Tigers will hope for friendlier weather conditions this weekend.

After weather nixed plans for a decisive Game 3 and caused a split in last weekend’s top-10 series at South Carolina, No. 1 LSU returns home for a three-game slate against the Kentucky Wildcats, which begins Thursday night.

UK enters this one at 27-5 (9-3 SEC) and has been one of the better teams in the league since SEC play began. However, the Wildcats are coming off a series loss to a struggling Georgia team last weekend.

“Kentucky has a really good identity – they know who they are, and they play to that well,” coach Jay Johnson said in a release. “I’ve known (Kentucky coach) Nick Mingione a really long time, and he’s a very thoughtful guy in how he puts together his program, his roster. They bunt as well as any team that we’ve played since I’ve been at LSU. They do a good job with the running game; there are literally no holds barred on that end. So, we have some things we need to do to control what they do well.”

LSU will look to remain unbeaten in SEC series this season against Kentucky. Here’s what you need to know to follow this weekend’s series.

UPDATE (4/15): Game 3 has been delayed from its 1 p.m. CT start due to weather. It’s unclear when the game will begin.
