AEW hasn’t traditionally had a year-ending pay-per-view, but that changes this week when Worlds End hits the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island.
Fittingly, one of Long Island’s own will be front and center for this inaugural show. MJF will defend the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe after weeks of time when both men have been defending each other instead of doing the usual fighting and verbal jousting. That’s because the mysterious masked Devil and a gang of black-clad henchmen have been making both their lives miserable — and their potential interference at Worlds End can’t be counted out.
The card will also feature the championship final of the AEW Continental Classic that has been playing out on Dynamite and Collision over the past few weeks. The Blue League and Gold League winners will collide on Long Island, with the victor becoming the first ever AEW Triple Crown Champion.
Pretty much every other AEW title will also be on the line — even the FTW Championship — this Saturday night. It will be interesting to see if that becomes the calling card of Worlds End going forward.
