Florida basketball finally got its first win in Southeastern Conference play on Saturday with a road victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks. Now sporting a 1-3 record among its SEC brethren and a 10-6 mark overall, the Gators return home to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the O’Connell Center on Wednesday night.

It will not be easy against this MSU team, who rank just below UF in the NET Rankings at No. 47 (Florida is ranked No. 44) and bring in a solid 12-4 overall record along with a 3-1 mark in SEC play. The Gators’ main advantage is a Quadrant 1 win — which the Bulldogs have none — while both sport at least one Quadrant 3 loss; Florida’s Quadrant 4 loss was the only between the two teams.
