The Texas Longhorns are headed to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Texas defeated the Arizona State 39-31 in double overtime after the Sun Devils overcame a 16-point fourth quarter deficit to force overtime.
The Longhorns faced a fourth and 13 down seven points in overtime and QB Quinn Ewers connected with WR Mathew Golden for a 28-yard touchdown to extend the game.
On the first play in double overtime, Ewers found TE Gunnar Helm for a 25-yard touchdown, and the defense held strong to finally get Texas the win.
Texas will next play closer to home in the Cotton Bowl on Friday, Jan. 10.
