The 2024 American Athletic Conference men’s basketball tournament will take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth from March 13-17.
The South Florida Bulls (23-6) enter as the No. 1 seed in the tournament after finishing 16-2 in conference play this season. Expectations will be much higher for South Florida this time around after losing in the 1st round last year to the East Carolina Pirates (14-17, 7-11 American).
The 2nd-seeded Florida Atlantic Owls (24-7) went 14-4 against AAC opponents during their 1st season in the conference. They feature the AAC’s 4th-leading scorer in guard Johnell Davis, who averages 18.2 points per game (PPG).

The AAC men’s basketball tournament will run from Wednesday, March 13th to Sunday, March 17th.
The Charlotte 49ers (19-11), the 3rd seed in the tournament, went 13-5 in conference play and are also in their 1st season as members of the AAC.
The 4th-seeded UAB Blazers (20-11) — like Florida Atlantic and Charlotte — have dominated in their 1st season of AAC play after leaving C-USA; they went 12-6 against conference opponents.
The 5th-seeded Memphis Tigers (22-9) may have the won tournament last season, but they do not look like the same team this time around after finishing 11-7 in conference play. The upside for Memphis, though, is that it features the conference’s leading scorer in forward David Jones (21.7 PPG).
