The Big West men’s basketball tournament starts on Wednesday and there is no doubt that March Madness is in the air. If you are looking to get in on some of the hottest live action the sport has to offer, you have come to the right place.
The UC Irvine Anteaters took home the regular-season conference crown this year with a 17-3 mark against Big West opponents — two games better than UC San Diego Tritons’ 15-5 final tally. The UC Davis Aggies (14-6) and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (11-9) also finished above the .500 mark.
The tournament only hosts the top eight teams in the 11-school conference, which means that the cellar-dwelling Cal Poly Mustangs (0-20) along with the Cal State Fullerton Titans (7-13) and Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners (8-12) will miss out on the postseason play.

The Big West men’s basketball conference tournament begins on Wednesday, March 13 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT inside The Dollar Loan Center, Henderson, Nevada, as the No. 5 seed UC Riverside Highlanders takes on No. 8 seed Cal State Bakersfield.
Wednesday will feature a pair of games, with the aforementioned opener starting things off followed by the No. 6 Cal State Northridge Matadors facing the No. 7 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT.
Thursday hosts the quarterfinal round with No. 3 Hawaii lined up against the winner of Game 2 and No. 4 Long Beach State facing the winner of Game 1. The semifinals take place on Friday and things wrap up on Saturday, March 16, at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT.
