How the top six conferences fared in round two of March Madness

The Big 12 was unable to stay undefeated in the round of 32.

The road to New Orleans is approaching, and more teams saw their season come to an end in the round of 32.

Unfortunately for Texas, they were one of the schools whose season ended over the past weekend, as they were unable to overcome No. 3 Purdue.

Just like every tournament, there are emerging stars made out of teams we never expected to get out of the opening round. For this year in particular, No. 15 seed St. Peter’s is still alive, and now the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds out of the East region are out.

The tournament is now in the Sweet 16 stage, and just one of the four regions (West) had its top four seeds make it this far. The previously mentioned East’s highest seed is No. 3 Purdue, and the Midwest region has both a No. 10 and No. 11 seed still in the running.

As usual, the tournament has been as about unpredictable as possible, but it is still interesting to see which of the Power 6 conferences are doing. Here are how many teams are remaining or were eliminated from the top conferences in the round of 32.
