Remember the Jim Tomsula era of 2015, when Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick split starts and the Niners finished with a 5-11 record? Yeah, neither do I. Suffice it to say, San Francisco didn’t get to play in Super Bowl 50 in Levi’s Stadium, where Peyton Manning and Von Miller’s Denver Broncos tamed league-MVP Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers.
