How much did the Stanford game affect pundits’ views of Washington?

Is Washington fading or just being a little bored?

We asked our Pac-12 football panel this question: How much did the Stanford game change your opinion of Washington?

Matt Zemek: A lot. I thought UW would go unbeaten. Now I don’t think so. ASU was a classic hangover game. Not sharpening up the next week against Stanford tells me U-Dub will get picked off at some point (but not against USC).

Zachary Neel: It wasn’t just the Stanford game, but a combination of the Stanford game and Arizona State game. Something is just off with Washington ever since their highly-emotional win over the Ducks. That doesn’t mean that they can’t right the ship and make a November push, but I am now considering whether or not they were the proverbial “rabbit team” ie. a team that sets the pace in September and October, but runs out of steam down the stretch.

Matt Wadleigh: I mean, what got into Stanford lately? But seriously, that game changed a lot for me. I know Washington’s offense is good, but the defense is going to give up 70 to Georgia or Florida State if they play like that in the playoff.
