How much did Texas A&M rise in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll?

Texas A&M’s huge 38-23 win over LSU led to a bump in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll

Texas A&M (7-1, 5-0 SEC) earned a statement win over the LSU Tigers in primetime in front of over 108,000 in Kyle Field, as the Aggies officially look like a College Football Playoff contender while staying in sole possession of first place in the SEC standings.

Behind the insertion of backup quarterback Marcel Reed, who ran for three touchdowns and led the Aggies to five consecutive scoring drives in the second half, Texas A&M’s rushing attack continues to break down defenses late.

The Aggies’ struggling secondary allowed 17 early points before locking down in the second half. Cornerback BJ Mayes recorded two third-quarter interceptions, which flipped the field and ultimately led to A&M’s incredible comeback.

Around the rest of the SEC, 12 teams were in action. Ole Miss took care of business against lowly Oklahoma to stay in the postseason race, while the Texas Longhorns escaped Nashville with a 27-24 win over Vanderbilt.

After Texas A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU, the Aggies have only moved three spots to No. 14 in the newest US LBM Coaches Top 25 Poll, while the Tigers dropped nine spots.
