How many Big Ten teams were ranked in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll & AP Polls?

The Big Ten has five diffrent programs ranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Poll ahead of week seven.

It’s another week of the Big Ten Conference being well represented in the AP & US LBM Coaches Poll.

The conference owns three of the top four programs ranked inside the AP Top 25 and three of the top five in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the consensus No. 2 team in the rankings, behind the SEC’s Texas Longhorns. The Oregon Ducks are ranked No. 3 in both polls while Penn State finds themself at No. 4 in the AP Poll and No. 5 in the Coaches Poll with Georgia separating the Ducks and Nittany Lions.

Unlike previous weeks, there is quite a bit of a drop in the polls until the next Big Ten representative. In the AP Poll, the Indiana Hoosiers are next up at No. 18 while being ranked No. 20 in the Coaches Poll. Michigan, suffering their second loss of the season to Washington over the weekend, fell to No. 24 in the AP Poll, down 14 spots, and is down 11 spots in the Coaches Poll to No. 21.

Illinois is the final Big Ten representative this week, coming in at the No. 23 spot in both polls.

That said, multiple Big Ten teams received votes this week and are potentially one win away from reentering the top 25. USC and Nebraska are the first two teams out in both polls, while Iowa, Washington, and Rutgers all received votes.
