How far can the Boston Celtics’ suffocating defense take them past the Brooklyn Nets?

While the team is right not to look past Brooklyn, the hosts of the Celtics Lab podcast couldn’t help themselves now that Boston has a commanding 3 – 0 series lead over the Nets.

The dominance of the Boston Celtics on defense has been so surprisingly effective on the Brooklyn Nets over the first three games of the team’s first-round series with their Atlantic Division rivals that it’s caused analysts to ask what is wrong with Kevin Durant.

But the hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast have a different perspective, namely that it’s time to start praising what’s right with Boston’s defense, which has taken two of the best scorers in the history of the modern NBA completely out of their games after three straight contests in a row that shows it is no fluke what the Celtics are doing to the Nets.

Joined by NBA video breakdown podcaster Alex King of his”Alex Hoops” YouTube series, Alex Goldberg, Cameron Tabatabaie, and Justin Quinn give Boston their flowers for what they’ve accomplished in the first round — and explore just how much further they think this team can go.
