The Vikings earned the No. 1 seed with a 15-6 mark. They defeated No. 10 Robert Morris in a Thursday quarterfinal after going 2-3 over their last five regular-season games.

Cleveland State is shaky against midrange jumpers, and that’s a point of strength for Wright State. The Raiders logged three clunky losses in February but were otherwise solid in ending their season on a strong trend line.
Wright State — the second-fastest team in a slower-than-average Horizon League — makes for tough opponent for a Vikings five, which would rather be pitted a slow-tempo foe. The Raiders led their second meeting against CSU much of the way before falling 71-67. It’s tough to defeat a team three times.
