The Brooklyn Nets are trying to make some moves this season and while they were would like to use trades to balance out the roster, reports have made it clear that Brooklyn is not desperate for trades either. It looks like the Nets know the value of their players and have let those expectations known.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Brooklyn has been unwilling to trade forward Dorian Finney-Smith for anything less than two first-round picks or something equivalent. There have been reports throughout the offseason that the Nets are willing to trade some of their wings, specifically Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale, in order to get a star-level player or some players who fit positions of need in return.
Scotto also reported in his latest NBA rumors article that Brooklyn wants a first-round pick in value for O’Neale so it’s evident that the Nets value their wings and will not trade them for pennies on the dollar. It seems that Brooklyn would be more than okay with heading into the season with O’Neale and Finney-Smith on the roster if they cannot get what they want in a trade for either of them.
