Sark after dark is on a roll after what was a very eventful spring game.
In a game that means literally nothing in terms of how the 2022 season will actually go in terms of wins and losses, the Longhorns somehow manufactured a way to make sure that it does in fact matter.
Shortly after the commitment of four-star running back Tre Winser, the 2023 class gained another member as four-star wide receiver Ryan Niblett took to Twitter to announce that he will also be joining Texas’ recruiting class.

Not only does he mark the second offensive commitment, but more importantly the 5-foot-10 speedster is the highest ranked player in the class of 2023 for Texas.
Niblett chose Texas over the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Baylor among others. The Houston native ranks as the No. 52 overall player in the country, the No. 7 receiver, and the No. 10 overall player in the state of Texas.
Similar to the mold that we are seeing Steve Sarkisian gravitate towards, Niblett doubles as a track star at Aldine Eisenhower as he ran Ran a 10.58 100-meter and a 22.14 200-meter as a sophomore. He also earned Texas District 14-6A All-Purpose Player of the Year as a junior this past season.
He has been a do-it-all type of player in high school playing some quarterback, defensive back, returning kicks, and of course wide receiver which is where he will play in Austin. Niblett is apart of the receiver core of the future for Texas, who will eventually be losing the likes of Xavier Worthy, Jordan Whittington, and Isaiah Neyor to the NFL.
Texas’ strong barrage of offense during the spring game clearly had some influence on these two recent commits, and may help their standing with a few more influential recruits.
