Arkansas offensive line coach Cody Kennedy is considered one of the best assistants in the nation. Officially.

Kennedy was named as one of 15 semifinalists for the Frank Broyles Award given to the top assistant coach in college football.

The Southeastern Louisiana grad is in his first season coaching the Arkansas offensive line. His head coach, Sam Pittman, coached the Hogs’ hogs from 2016-18. Under Kennedy’s watch, the Razorbacks have run for an average of 222 yards a game, ranking 13th in FBS.

That mark is the most since 2006 when Darren McFadden and Felix Jones both went over the 1,000-yard mark and the team averaged 228 yards rushing a game. Four different players have eclipsed the 400-yard mark this season, marking the first time that’s happened at Arkansas since 1975.

The Arkansas offensive line was also announced as a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line in the country.
