Highlights: Georgia DL commit Joseph Jonah-Ajonye

Size, athleticism, skills – Joseph Jonah-Ajonye has it all…

Georgia added to its impressive 2024 recruiting class on Thursday with the addition of four-star defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye. The Conroe, Texas native, is rated as the No. 6 defensive lineman, the No. 10 player in the state of Texas and the No. 37 recruit overall in his class, per 247Sports Composite.

Jonah-Ajonye stands 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, and is expected to play defensive end in Athens. The Oak Ridge High School prospect has impressive mobility for his size and routinely puts opposing offensive lineman on skates in the backfield.

Jonah-Ajonye picked Georgia over OklahomaOregon, and Georgia Tech.

247Sports national recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks thinks highly of Jonah-Ajonye’s ability at the next level.

“Big-framed, scheme-versatile defensive lineman with jumbo edge dimensions and true interior frame capacity over the next few years,” Brooks wrote. “Pushing 6-foot-4 with a 6-foot-10 plus wingspan. Powerful at the point of attack with long levers that can separate from blockers. Displays engagement strength to knock opponents on their heels.”

The Bulldogs are running away with the No. 1 class. The question is how much better will this class become over the coming months?
