All signs point to the maize and blue. #GoBlue

Michigan football is hoping a top prospect on its board from in-state decides he’ll wear a winged helmet by this time next year. It will not have to wait long to find out if that’s his intention.

Hailing from Rochester Adams, tight end Brady Prieskorn is a four-star prospect, rated No. 56 overall according to the 247Sports composite. He’s not only the second-best player in the state of Michigan, but the second-best tight end in the country. He has offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, MSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas A&M. He plans to announce his commitment at 3:15 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 25, he announced.

Michigan football has a commanding lead among the 247Sports crystal balls, with all three predictions indicating he’ll end up a Wolverine.

Per 247Sports’ Allen Trieu:

Has an all-around skill set. Physical, willing blocker who gives great effort and shows functional strength already despite still having a lot of room to grow into his body. Has played split out and can run routes and catch the ball like a wide receiver. Shows twitch and quickness off the line. Changes directions well for a big man and can create separation as a result. Tracks the ball and catches passes away from his body very naturally. Did not post gaudy high school numbers based on his team’s offensive system but has been a big-play threat for great program and does a lot of little things well. Has played more unattached and standing up than with his hand down but has the tools and and skills to really play in any role in a variety of sets.

Prieskorn is listed at 6-foot-6, 225-pounds. It’s unclear by what method he will publicly make his commitment.
