He’s back! Devo Davis returning to Arkansas for another season

After flirting with the NBA Draft, Arkansas junior guard Devo Davis announced he will be back for a senior season in Fayetteville.

Arkansas basketball fans were in need of some good news, and fan-favorite [autotag]Devo Davis[/autotag] has delivered.

The junior guard officially announced that he will be returning to the Razorbacks next season. His decision was made public after he posted a short video to Twitter.

“I’m trying to finish what I came here to do,” said Davis in the video. “Let’s run it back.”

Back on April 1, Davis announced that he would be entering the NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility. Wednesday was the deadline for players to withdraw their name from the NBA Draft and return to school.

In three seasons with the Razorbacks, Davis has averaged 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 43.6 FG%. Last year was by far his best yet with the team. He averaged 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, 41.5 FG% and 34.6 3PT%.

Davis was the driving force behind Arkansas’ improbable run to the Sweet Sixteen, where he scored 25 points in the upset win over No. 1 seeded Kansas.

The Jacksonville (Ark.) native’s passion and tenacious style of play have made him a favorite in all corners of the Natural State. His game-winner against Oral Roberts in 2021, his dunk over Auburn’s Wendall Green in 2022 and his performance against Kansas this past season are all legendary and will be remembered forever.

Davis will have one more year to add to his already-impressive highlight reel, while fans will get another chance to experience more “Devo Magic.”
