Here’s where the Bears pick in the 2021 NFL draft entering Week 12

Updated 2021 NFL Draft order: Here’s where the Chicago Bears pick entering Week 12

The Chicago Bears (5-5) travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers (7-3) in Week 12’s Sunday Night Football matchup that suddenly has more meaning in an NFC North that appeared to be a runaway for the Packers.

If the Bears can somehow pull off the upset, they’ll control their own destiny in the division for the rest of the season.

And while it’s exciting to have a meaningful game as the season inches toward its final quarter, the reality is Chicago still doesn’t have a franchise-caliber quarterback who inspires confidence in the club’s ability to make noise in the post-season.

The only way for the Bears to realistically land that quarterback is in the NFL Draft. At the start of Week 12, Chicago currently holds the 16th overall pick in the 2021 draft. Whether that selection will be high enough to secure a player like BYU’s Zach Wilson or North Dakota State’s Trey Lance is anyone’s guess right now. Both prospects have first-round buzz and usually, when quarterbacks are considered first-round guys, they come off the board earlier than No. 16.
