Here’s the hype ahead of Florida’s matchup with LSU tonight

Florida Gators football faces the LSU Tigers at home tonight in the final game of the regular season, SEC-only schedule in 2020.

Florida Gators will take the field in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday night and host one of their Southeastern Conference foes for the final time this season.

The LSU Tigers, who had previously been scheduled to duke it out in The Swamp on Oct. 17 but was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols, come into the game as defending national champions albeit with their tail between their legs after an embarrassing 2020 campaign in which they have gone 3-5. At this point, the Tigers are simply looking to play the spoiler against their cross-conference rivals.

But the mood will not be spoiled by LSU today, though there is currently a heavy cloud overhead in Gainesville after Gators men’s basketball star forward Keyontae Johnson collapsed and was hospitalized during a game against the Florida State Seminoles this morning. As of publication, he is still in the hospital in critical but stable condition.

With the bad news out of the way, let us take a look at the hype surrounding the Gator Nation ahead of the last regular-season game of what has been a tumultuous college football season.
