Here’s a look at the SEC’s best receivers from each school and how they rank

This 3rd installment in our Gators Wire original series will attempt to rank the likely No. 1 wide receiver for every member school in fall.

No. 12 Mike Woods – Arkansas Razorbacks (Junior – Magnolia, Texas)

Firing now-Auburn Tigers offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Chad Morris with two games left on the schedule, the Razorbacks limped to their second-straight 2-10 record in 2019 and their third consecutive season with four wins or less.

New head coach Sam Pittman looks to have an extensive rebuilding job on his hands, but the program quietly features a solid trio of wideouts in Woods and sophomores Treylon Burks and Trey Knox.

Forced to pick just one player from each school for this exercise, it was a tough call, but Woods ultimately received the nod because of the two seasons of production under his belt.

Catching 18 passes for 206 yards (11.4 avg) and a score as a freshman, Woods upped his totals to 33 receptions for 423 yards (12.8 avg) and four touchdowns last fall. This reception totaled tied ex-tight end Cheyenne O’Grady for the team lead and his yardage total was 52 shy of Burks’ 475 for the top spot.

Former Gator Feleipe Franks announced his graduate transfer to Arkansas in January and, by most accounts, is the favorite to emerge as the starter this fall. If Franks can stay healthy, he should provide this talented wide receiver corps with some much-needed stability behind center.

NEXT: No. 11 Josh Palmer – Tennessee Volunteers
