Here’s a look at the SEC’s best receivers from each school and how they rank

This 3rd installment in our Gators Wire original series will attempt to rank the likely No. 1 wide receiver for every member school in fall.

No. 3 Jhamon Ausbon – Texas A&M Aggies (Senior – Houston, Texas)

A native Texan, Ausbon transferred to Bradenton’s IMG Academy for his senior year of high school and made an immediate impact for the Aggies as a freshman in 2017, catching 50 passes for 571 yards (11.4 avg) and three touchdowns.

This yardage total was third-best on the team, trailing only Christian Kirk and Damion Ratley, who are now in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns, respectively.

In 2018, Jimbo Fisher’s first year in College Station, Ausbon was limited to nine games by a right foot injury, tallying 31 receptions for 375 yards (12.1 avg).

Remaining healthy last season, the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder had his best showing to date, registering 66 catches, 872 yards (13.2 avg), and five scores. With classmate Kellen Mond, a four-year starter, returning at quarterback, Ausbon could make a run at an All-League spot in 2020.
