Here’s a look at the SEC’s best receivers from each school and how they rank

This 3rd installment in our Gators Wire original series will attempt to rank the likely No. 1 wide receiver for every member school in fall.

No. 4 Seth Williams – Auburn Tigers (Junior – Cottondale, Alabama)

Williams played his prep football at Paul W. Bryant High School in Tuscaloosa, named, of course, in honor of the legendary Alabama coach, nicknamed “Bear.”

Despite starring in the Crimson Tide’s backyard, the four-star chose to play on the other side of the Iron Bowl, committing to Auburn, located about 160 miles to the southeast, on November 23, 2017.

Williams’ decision paid immediate dividends in 2018, as he totaled 26 receptions, third on the team, 534 yards (20.5 avg), and five touchdowns, tying now-New York Giant Darius Slayton for the team lead.

As a sophomore, the 6-foot-3 pass-catcher improved his numbers to 59 passes hauled in, 830 yards (14.1 avg), and eight touchdowns.

Williams’ 13 career touchdown receptions are tied with Sammie Coates for tenth in program history, and, barring injury, he will likely move into the top-10 in receptions and yards in 2020, as well.
