Henry Ruggs named Bills’ ‘dream target’ at 2020 draft by B/R

Henry Ruggs named the Buffalo Bills “dream scenario” by Bleacher Report for 2020 NFL Draft.

Bleacher Report tabbed a “dream player” for every team team at the 2020 NFL Draft.

At this point, almost any help for quarterback Josh Allen on offense would be a dream fit. But for the Bills, it was dynamic receiver Henry Ruggs III from Alabama.

Here’s B/R’s breakdown:

The Buffalo Bills are another team embroiled in doing whatever it takes to surround a young passer with talent.

Granted, the Bills have droves of cap space to spend in a free-agent class featuring names like A.J. Green. But it wouldn’t be too much of a shock to see the franchise double dip and go all-in on a top-flight prospect like Henry Ruggs III, either.

Positioned at No. 22, the Bills aren’t going to see a CeeDee Lamb or Jerry Jeudy fall to them. But maybe the sheer volume of stellar wideouts in this year’s class pushes Ruggs—owner of 1,500-plus yards and 19 total scores over the past two seasons—down the board.

Best-player-available at wideout as a weapon to grow alongside quarterback Josh Allen would be ideal.

Interestingly enough, if the Bills did grab Green, Ruggs would certainly be the ideal fit as a No. 1 prospect. Green, along with Cole Beasley and John Brown, are all pushing age at or over 30-years-old. In Green, the Bills would address their lack of size at the receiver spot, making Ruggs an even easier pick.

But if Green doesn’t happen, a player such as Tee Higgins or Laviska Shenault, both top-wideout prospects as well, might be more of the “dream.” Simply put, you can’t teach size and while Ruggs does has game-changing speed and quickness in his game, he’s listed at 6-feet tall. The Bills could still use his talents regardless, but some height would be nice, too.
