On Monday afternoon, reports emerged about Henry Ruggs III was injured in an off-the-field accident. At the time, details of the injury and his status were unknown.
But Ruggs Jr, Henry Ruggs III’s father shared the details, and it looks like Ruggs will make a full recovery:
“He was trying to move a trailer or something — move furniture or something — and the trailer just kind of pinned him against a car or a wall or something. He’s pretty much OK, I’m about to go out there and see him in a little bit. It was just like a little open wound on his leg, a little incision. Like something had stuck him right there on his thigh a little bit.
With this COVID-19 stuff still going on, they wouldn’t let anybody in. He’s just having to walk on crutches. Not putting as much pressure on it.”
This is great news for Raiders fans who are eager to see the 12th overall 2020 NFL draft pick play in the NFL this fall.
When Roll Tide Wire finds out more details including a recovery timeline, you’ll be the first to know.
Last season, Ruggs recorded an impressive 40 receptions for 746 yards and 7 TDs.
In his career at Alabama, he had 98 receptions for 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown.
The future is very bright for Ruggs, and it will be very exciting to see what he can do in Oakland next season.
