Henry Ruggs falls to Broncos in new NFL mock draft

Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs falls to the Broncos in the first round of this 2020 NFL mock draft.

In his latest 2020 NFL mock draft for Touchdown Wire, Doug Farrar has Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs falling to the Denver Broncos in the first round.

Like many draft pundits, Farrar has wide receivers CeeDee Lamb (No. 11; New York Jets) and Jerry Jeudy (No. 12; Las Vegas Raiders) being selected before Denver goes on the clock. But unlike most mocks, Farrar’s mock has the San Francisco 49ers passing on Ruggs at No. 13.

Farrar has San Francisco drafting cornerback Trevon Diggs, leaving Ruggs to fall tot he Broncos at No. 15.

Here is part of Farrar’s commentary with the selection:

Ruggs brings every bit of the 4.27 speed he showed at the combine to the field, and he’s a better route-runner and pure football player than people may think, as some tend to immediately assume that fast wideouts can do little else. That’s not Ruggs, and he would add an entirely new — not to mention desperately needed — dimension to Denver’s offense.
