Former Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker took part in his first practice with Detroit on Wednesday.
The Lions opened a 21-day practice window for Hooker.
Hooker suffered a season-ending ACL injury with the Vols on Nov. 19, 2022 at South Carolina.
“It’s been a year since I put on shoulder pads, so throwing with my shoulder pads, I have to get accustomed to again,” Hooker said.
Hooker was selected by Detroit in the third round (No. 68 overall) of the 2023 NFL draft.
He played for the Vols from 2021-22.
Hooker completed 435-of-632 passing attempts for 6,080 yards, 58 touchdowns and five interceptions, while rushing for 1,046 yards and 10 touchdowns in 24 games at Tennessee.
