Heat rookie Tyler Herro may have teased his return to the lineup

Herro has missed the past 15 games with the Heat due to an ankle injury but could soon be returning to the court.

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has missed the past 15 games with an ankle injury but the rookie may have hinted at a possible return this week on social media.

The first-round pick initially suffered the injury on Feb. 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers and has not played since then. He has ramped up his on-court work recently and was seen on Wednesday putting up shots with the team prior to hosting the Orlando Magic.

Herro tweeted on Monday afternoon a smiley face and an eye emoji, which could hint toward a return to the lineup. The Heat play next on Wednesday and it could be conceivable that Herro will be ready to go.

Of course, playing social media detective is an inexact science but the signs are pointing toward Herro returning soon to the court. Without Herro, the Heat have posted a 7-8 record and have won four out of their last five games.

Herro is averaging 13.1 points, four rebounds and two assists in 46 games played this season.
