Now that the 2023 NBA Finals have come to a close with the Denver Nuggets beating the Miami Heat in five games to win their first title in the league, the Boston Celtics are working on retooling the team in their own pursuit of a banner. That retooling includes the coaching staff under head coach Joe Mazzulla.
After signing former Boston champion point guard and (more recently) Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Sam Cassell to be an assistant under Mazzulla, Boston went out and added ex-Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Charles Lee to be the lead assistant for 2023-24.
