Has the Warriors’ championship window begun to close?

Is father time finally catching up to an aging Golden State Warriors roster?

The Golden State Warriors have sputtered out of the gates. They’re 8-9 and endured a six-game losing streak in mid-November. Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Chris Paul have struggled for consistency and impact. Draymond Green has been in and out of the rotation with injury and suspension.

According to Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who spoke on a recent episode of the “KG Certified Podcast,” the Warriors championship window is finally closing. The two former champions noted how Golden State’s roster is aging and has significant mileage on the clock courtesy of a decade’s worth of deep postseason runs.

Pierce also discussed the strength of other teams around the NBA and how the Warriors may have set a high bar, but franchises around the league have caught up and in some cases, surpassed Golden State’s overall talent level.
